Arabsat and Aldoria have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on enhancing space safety and security. The MoU is one of the fruitful outcomes of the 1st Space Debris Conference in Saudi Arabia held in Riyadh on February 11-12, which the Saudi Space Agency organized.

Arabsat has launched its Airbus-built Badr-8 telecommunications satellite from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Based on Airbus’ latest geostationary Eurostar Neo satellite, Badr-8 will provide connectivity for users across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.

The Arab Satellite Communications Organization, Arabsat, signed a contract with SpaceX to launch its 7A satellite, Arabist said. Arabsat 7A is the first of the company’s 7th generation satellites, featuring the latest technologies with regards to manufacturing, payload, performance, and flexibility.
