Our Space Café “33 minutes with Josef Aschbacher  – European Space Ambitions – ESA Agenda 2025, updates and goals” took place on the 7th July 2023. Josef Aschbacher earned both his Master’s degree and PhD in natural sciences from the University of Innsbruck. His impressive international career in the space sector spans over 35 years and encompasses work at the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission, the Austrian Space Agency, the Asian Institute of Technology, and the University of Innsbruck. 

In the latest “Space Café BeNeLux”, our new host Dr. Heike Poignand, welcomed Dr. Harald Hauschild, ARTES ScyLight Programme Manager at ESA, to an insightful discussion if optical and quantum communications will be the future of space. Like last year, the SpaceWatch.Global newsroom has gathered together to analyse  the Financial Time Investing In Space 2023 Summit, held in London on the 5th and 6th of June 2023. The second Summit kept the format of the inaugural one, with a mixed audience of venture capitalists, space experts, space industrials, and agency representatives. We observed a few leitmotifs seen during the first edition, like the importance every year some speaker gives to find a better name for the Space industry
