Yahsat, the UAE-based satellite operator, announced on 28 November 2016 that it has signed an agreement with a local service partner, Teknomobil Inc, to distribute its satellite broadband service, YahClick, to users across Turkey.
Farhad Khan, Chief Commercial Officer, Yahsat said, “Historically, Turkey has been a significant market for satellite services and over the last few years it has exhibited a substantial surge in the demand for high-speed broadband. With the introduction of high throughput satellites and the availability of higher bandwidth, an increasing number of government and private organizations are switching to broadband services that are cost effective.
“We have been delivering unparalleled connectivity to this growing market since November 2013, and with the addition of Teknomobil Inc to our network of esteemed strategic partners, we look forward to catering to the increasing domestic demand through the provision of our cost-effective, Ka-band solutions.” Teknomobil, one of the largest satellite communication companies in Turkey, specializes in providing solutions ranging from satellite communication, hand held satellite terminals, IP modems, helicopter mounted and airborne satellite communication systems and vessel tracking systems.
