ActInSpace Hackathon from May 20-21, 2016 in Darmstadt

badge-13The second #ActInSpace event will bring together young entrepreneurs, students, business leaders, developers, artists, and jobseekers to take part in a one-and-a-half-day-hackathon on Friday and Saturday, 20-21 May 2016.

The aim of the #ActInSpace event is to come up with innovative ways to use space technologies for everyday uses.

In teams of up to 5 participants, candidates will work on challenges offered by the organizers. Teams can be put together spontaneously at the event, so there is no need to have a team right away to take part.

The winning teams will then present their project at a European final, with travel costs paid for two team members. Projects with good business prospects can apply afterwards for participation, incubation and support by an ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC), which are based in Darmstadt, Germany.

ESA BIC Darmstadt is organising the challenge at the Hochschule, Schöfferstraße 10, Building D19 (Room 401-403), Start: 20 May 2016, 12:00 (noon).
